Ka-bar releases micarta handles for bk16

I was doing a web search for micarta handles for my bk16 and hoping I could find some custom ones with no luck. So I thought I would check Ka-bar's sight and there they are, just released them. Tomar web site doesn't even have them yet. $35 and I paid $30 for the over night shipping. Luckily my wife won't skin me with the new handles on it. Can't wait to see how they feel and look on the knife.

I almost ordered some last week but decided to just wait until they are for sale at the retailers.

I've almost ordered the 24 so many times...waiting sucks!!!

I have a custom set of fiddleback maple scales coming from a member here or I would have just ordered the handles. $35 just seems like a reasonable price to me.

I wonder if these came today...he did order the overnight shipping. I want to see pictures! Haha...I'm anxious to get a couple sets of these too....
 
When I ordered my LE BK10 it was over a week before it was even mailed, so he might have overnight shipping in a week or so. Hopefully they actually got them out for him right away tho.

OP here, the tracking number has them at my house right now, but I don't get off work until 8:00 tonight. I'll try to get some pics taken of them on the knife this weekend and post them sometime Monday on my day off. I can't wait to see how they look.
 
Well I made it home and put the new handles on. Took some pics of them on the bk16 next to its little brother bk11. The handles have a little green tint to them but I think it will grow on me.

Those are nice! They look like most of the micarta coming out of Ka-Bar right now. With use the color should be changing some.
 
OMGOMGOMGOMGOMG. The wait is finally over!!!

Now I might actually enjoy my 16... and moreover, now I'll be forced to buy a 15 and 17....

...and the 10 is coming out soon enough....


All I have left to beg for is a Brute... sheesh!
