Hello All,
We recently had a master gun whisperer retire from the training center, he's one of those quiet professionals which demands the absolute best and most out his students and strives for professionalism, pride and courtesy. Most of his students once they graduate are posted through out the United States of America in our National Parks and Forests with sometimes no back up for hours. Some of their duty stations have no repeater towers for radios to work, so they use satphones to contact dispatch. It is with that level of commitment he put into getting the firearms training done so his students left here best prepared to make it home after every tour of duty.
It took a little thought as to what to give him, I figured he's got enough guns, but what do the hunters and fishers also like to cart out into the great outdoors? A good knife and KA BAR is one of the best! Once I figured out it was going to be a knife, I got a few challenge coins, and reached out to one of my colleagues that is handy with lumber. We worked out a rough draft on the concept of a plaque and a few weeks later this is the finished product. The knife is attached to the plaque with a magnet and is easily removed / attached. I hope you like what we did and look forward to your comments.
