Hi , this is a re handle . Mat. is Corian . The original scale was dark walnut . When I got it the handle was broken and the po tried to sharpen with a bench grinder . He stopped just in time. I made a new guard for it and mosaic pins and the corian handles , not to mention fixing the grind marks . It's hard to see , but I did a little scrimshaw test . It's 25* so I can remember the sharp * Oh and I made the Marline Spike . I love scrimshaw. I am going to read up on it and try to put the name of my boat on it . Any other rigging knife/scrimshaw peoples out there ? PS. mat. for blade is stainless ,but I don't know what type . Do you ?
