KA-BAR sheath options for Beckers

Good evening everyone,

I'm always reading about how everyone seems to prefer kydex/glass filled nylon sheaths vs. nylon or leather sheaths which brings me to my questions (please don't think I'm stupid, I have tried searching for the answers first):

1.) What sheaths do you guys/gals prefer for your Beckers?
2.) Does Ka-Bar sheath #1216-S fit the BK7?
3.) Does Ka-Bar sheath #5016-S fit the BK9?
4.) What does 3/4 size blade mean?

Hey Ark,

1) I have a variety, from handmade leather, kydex, cordura, and Injection molded plastic. I prefer leather, but my woodland rig always has a pouch, so, ESEE5 Sheath, and Spec Ops are my current rides

2) No, one, the BKT blades are too wide at nearly 1 5/8", it won't work
3) Same as #2

4) Its a reduced blade size, but same design, just smaller. Kabar offers 2 different sizes in blade for the good 'ol 1217 Marine Fighting/Utility Knife. They look identical, but one is, well, 1/4 smaller.

I hope this helps, got to Tomar's Kabars, they have more information on Kabar knives, than anywhere else I can find.

Naw, Tomar's has Kabar history, not just Becker history. You have the most comprehensive Becker history, there ever was. And the largest collection, there ever was.

Take heart, mon ami, now, I gotta go find a cliff.

I find I really like the look of the Ka-Bar sheaths #1216 and #5016, sucks that they don't accommodate the Becker blades. Does anyone know of similar sheaths to those that fit?
