KA-BAR sheath with sharpening stone question

My Dad was a Marine from 54-66. He had a KA-BAR that had a sharpening stone on the sheath.

He gave it to me, and I spent a lot of time with that knife in the woods. Dropped it into a creek and lost it.

I've search for one like it, but never have seen one. Was the sheath standard issue or did my Dad get the sheath somewhere else?

Most likely an aftermarket sheath. I've never seen a K-Bar issue with that type of sheath.
Many knives have a similar length blade and shape as a K-Bar so it is likely it was not a K-Bar sheath.
