KA-BAR skinners

On my trip to Olean last week I stopped by the Salamanca, NY antiques mall, a truly large mall. Usually find a reasonably priced knife there among all the beaters and overpriced ones. I was lucky again, and found this pair of new old stock KA-BAR skinners. I don't usually go for butcher knives, but I like anything marked KA-BAR in near mint-mint condition. I think these are no newer than about 1951 due to the KA-BAR all caps hyphen mark on the handles. The pre-war ones are usually marked on the blade so I think these are post war, pre KA-BAR Inc.

Thanks Mike. $37 for the pair, they had a 20% off any item over ten bucks sale. No way I could resist!! If any of you get out to western NY state this mall is pretty good. Takes about an hour to view everything quickly, longer for a thorough look, it is HUGE. Salamanca is a town in the Seneca Nation right off Rte 17/I-86 and close to Olean, NY and Bradford, PA, two great knife destinations. There is a fairly new casino there also but I have never stepped foot in one, preferring to spend my hard earned cash on knives rather than chances. It is also near Cattaraugus where there is the American Knife Museum. One of the guys I was traveling with got a really rare Union Cutlery counter felt although it was pricey and not in the best condition but it is the only one I have seen.
