Ka-Bar Tang Stamps/Dates

Where can I find post-1980 Ka-Bar tang stamp reference? There are plenty of vintage date lists but none for 1980 to date.

I don't think you can. As I stated on the other forum, there is a list with photos of the KCC knives 1976-1994 but I don't know of any other list for the newer knives and the older knife list that was provided by the KCC has so many incorrect dates that it is nearly useless. I would think that if you needed to know about a given knife and posted good photos that you might get a knowledgeable answer from somebody who bought one new when it came out. I have seen a bunch of fake KA-BARs lately, I don't know where they are being made, but they usually carry the stamps similar to early knives rather than later knives. I think most modern KA-BAR products are bought as users, even second hand rather than collector knives. KA-BAR is still in business in Olean perhaps you could call them and ask if they have the info you are looking for.
