A while back I bought the small TDI and liked it, except thought it was too heavy and sold it. I'm a bit of a weight nazi. Lately I have been trying to find something that closely resembles it, but weighs less. Not having any luck.

So, I was thinking about buying the TDI again and removing the handles and skeletaling the handle.

I'm just curious if any of you knife aficionados have any idea how much weight this might remove? Ideally I would like to get down to 2oz or less. Am I dreaming or might such be possible?

Small TDI Specs:

Weight: 4.16oz
Blade Length: 2 5/16"
Length Overall: 5 5/8"
Handles: Zytel
Steel: AUS 8A

I highly doubt you'll be able to cut the weight in half with out either modifying the blade and skeletonizing the handle plus removing the handle scales. Buts just my take on it, never much understood the super light weight lovers.
