KA-BAR weed hook

I used the weed hook on the left quite a bit, but it's both a little short and the neck is a little soft. I've bent it a number of times clearing Palm tree shoots that try and grow up in the concrete edges and cracks. It bends back easily enough, but I've noticed that Japanese tools tend to go a little minimalist on the steel. KA-BAR has these tomahawks on special, so I picked up two and made a prototype. The handle is a little curved for more clearance for the hook, with some swell in the middle for a secondary grip. I've been beating it up since the photo and thinned the handle out considerably, but the steel in the head is nice and tough. It's strong enough to use it as a pickaroon to move wood around, so bent necks are a thing of the past. Imgur works a bit differently than I remember, hopefully the photo loads up decently. I'm pretty happy with the quality of these hawks.

Edit: Imgur not embedding the photo, just displaying a link which does seem to work. Oh well, technology wins again.
