Kabar Becker machete??

Does Kabar make the Becker Patrol Machete?? Are they planning to? I would hope so, I'm looking into getting a machete. I thought I might as well make it a Becker. Any other suggestions? Thanks-Josh
 
They do not make one in the current line-up.
Send Tooj a lot of plaintive emails and see what happens. :D
 
get the 18" imacasa for now - i have the esee version of it and i love using it. the imacasa is less than $20, can't go wrong with that. when the patrol machete pass-around reaches me, i'll do an extensive review of it compared to the esee/imacasa one.
 
i wouldn't bother Toooj too much about this. busy man :)

KaBar has a few machete like objects coming out soon. take a look!

Didn't I read a while back something about Toooj saying that KA-BAR doesn't have the tooling or machines large enough to accomodate the Patrol Machete, or adjusting for it would simply be cost prohibitive?
 
Bleah (at the zombie stuff). Better yet, have a look at the KaBar Kukri Machete. That's a good tool - works great and even looks sensible.

:p I like the zombie knives even if the name is silly. I've got the Kabar Cutlass Machete and it's a good one.
 
Didn't I read a while back something about Toooj saying that KA-BAR doesn't have the tooling or machines large enough to accomodate the Patrol Machete, or adjusting for it would simply be cost prohibitive?

Now we do! We are now the proud parents of a Siepmann Grinder CNC Flat grinder with a 14" stroke.

Bug the Big "E" and see what he comes up with. He contacts KA-BAR and then I go to work.

That's good news to hear about the new CNC Grinder, maybe KA-BAR is getting ready. Having the Becker line up in KA-BAR's inventory has got to be a for business and, In my opinion, bringing back the Patrol Machete would boost sales...

and it's true that they said they'd NEVER do it... just that it was unlikely at the time. restrictions peel back like a wire brush on wisdom :)

Machax is a go! Prototypes are going through the factory as we speak....obviously not fast enough to satisfy the Big "E". But they are moving.
We are looking at some more of the original Becker Line. Hold on, it's going to be a cool ride.
