Kabar Becker Necker belt clip

I got one of the Kabar Becker Neckers a while back and wanted to get a Tek-Lok or similar for belt carry and found a thread mentioning that the belt clip from the Kabar TDI knife also fit the Necker sheath. I ordered one up and so it does. The holes line up perfectly and it is a 2 minute job to mount the clip. That and 10 minutes to clean the black oil off the clip before screwing it on. I guess it is some sort of preservative oil, reminding me to keep the clip clean and dry and oiled like the carbon steel blade.

Here are a couple photos with a paracord jacket wrap on the handle and a Scout size firesteel mounted to the sheath with a couple ranger bands and a loop of paracord jacket.

well heck, i got one of those spring clips from my TDI.....never thunk to use on the Necker.... cheers!

as for the oil, dang rights....keep your metal oiled!

EDIT, crap....just noticed you have the Becker/Kabar version of the BK11, i have the camillus BK11 sheath... going to have to see if the spring clip fits...

It won't, but the small tek-lok *just* fits. You can arrange it horizontal or vertical.

I've had Tek-Lok fit issues on kydex sheaths before, until I bust out my Ridgid Lithium drill (with an LED on the front!) and create new holes. :D
 
They should make a Tek-Lok that comes without holes for that very purpose.
 
Very good idea FTB!!

I thought about making a pocket clip like a folder has, and mounting it on the knife itself. Using the lanyard hole to mount it. Making it long enough to have the end of the clip rest on the steel in between the skeletonize holes, so it clips in your pocket like a folder. I thing thats all thats missing from these small fixed blades. I carry a Game Warden in my pocket every day, and often wish it had a clip like this to keep it in place...
 
im getting the becker necker and i want to mount it horizontaly, can i mount it horizontaly with the kabar tdi clip?
 
I have one and it is great to carry it "clip side out" in your front pocket. just like a folder with a clip...except this can be deployed easier ... It is definately worth the $10 for the TDI clip ... a great way to EDC :thumbup:

the becker necker is one of the best deals in knifedom:)
