Kabar becker vs Camilus becker

Looking into buying a bk7 from either kabar or camillus ( i kno camillus closed down but their are still some on the market). I already have a bk9 made by kabar but i want to know witch one i should get the kabar bk7 or the camillus bk7.

they're basically identical. go with your favorite vendor or price.

that's about it.

to get technical, the steels are slightly different. no big thing :)

Ditto on Bladite. Most of the models had slight changes in blade thickness or grind. The BK-7 came through almost unchanged. There are some great vendors out there where you can get the 7 for between $65 and $75 shipped. The Camillus will set you back about $100, maybe a tad more.

AF also brings up an excellent point: with the KA-BAR version, you get a warranty.
 
I got a Camillus version last year for a steal, but if I was buying a brand spankin new one, I'd get the KaBar version. Like others have already said, you'll get the warranty with it. I doubt you'l ever have to take advantage of that, but it's still good to know it's there.
 
I did have to take advantage of the warranty. My 7 had a bad grind at the tip. Shipped it to Toooj and he hooked me up immediately with a new one.
Gained a KA-BAR customer for life.
