Could someone please measure their KaBar BK-2 Campanion blade thickness.

I have done a search on this site and cannot find any references.

The earlier BK-2 version by Cammillus was advertized as .250" however, actual measurements by several members was closer to .215".

Regards and thanks,
FK

The KaBar/Becker BK-2 is definitely .25"... I do believe the later Cammillus BK-2s were indeed slightly less thick.

Many thanks guys, I will be ordering a Ka-Bar BK-2 very soon.

My small collection with steel thickness measurements over factory epoxy paint.

Camillus Manufactured

BK-2 Campanion = .216"

BK-9 = .217"

BK-5 Magnum Camp = .197" stock with .145" over swedge (full blade length)

Stock is .203" and measures .185" to .165" over swedge (full blade length).

Camillus used hot rolled carbon steel and KA-BAR uses cold rolled carbon. Therefore depending on the heat of steel and condition of the surface Camillus may have had to surface grind the steel to get the scale off and have a nice surface to grind, heat treat and powder coat......
