Been looking for a knife that i can use for bushcrafting and food prep with awesome edge retention... i narrowed down my choices into these two: BK10 and Tops BOB....

Pls help me choose...

thank you

The Becker is better steel, but the Tops is harder. The grinds are different, but bother are a type of saber grind on 3/16 steel. I'd buy the one the you like the shape of better, because I don't think the other stuff is going to matter between those two. The BOB is pointier.

I didn't consider the BK 10. No particular reason other than I didn't like the look. Did consider the Tops but opted for an Esee 4 mainly because it is much lighter , has flat grind , and I have an Esee 6 for heavier duty stuff. Very pleased with Esee knives. Try to handle , feel them both and pick the one you like. the 4 was about $25 cheaper than the Tops . Esee has much better warranty. You break it you get a new one.

I've owned a couple of BOB's and they are without a doubt my favorite factory knife in 1095. Screamin' sharp and a handle that fits my hand like it was made for me.....

This is not a slam of the Beckers or the Esee knives. I've owned knives made by both of them and both make a great product. It's just that the BOB fit me perfectly....You may have an entirely different experience....

Boy it depends on the handle in the end to be honest...

For bushcrafting BOB should be better as it is lighter and designed for a bit more precise work than BK 10. Probably it would be more 'fair' to compare to one of the smaller Beckers #s 15-17.
