kabar bk14 or ontario rat3

I was wondering which one of these knives to get if I get the K bar BK 14 I'm going to get a tech lock clip along with it and also some of the Zytel handles that u can get off of amazon from kabar. Please give me your recamendations. Thanks. It will just be and etc knife that I use it for.

I love the BK14, but wish I had the Rat 3 instead. IMO, the negative for the 14 is the sheath. It dulls the edge on mine, quick touch up on the sharpmaker with only a few strokes gets it right back. Yes this was supposedly fixed by Kabar and my sheath was the new kind, but it still happens ever few times I take the blade out. My other Becker's have better sheaths, and are amazing.

For EDC however, if you're thinking about carrying everywhere, the BK14's weight will be easier to work with. The sheath does work with the TDI belt clip, so you have options to carry off your neck if you want.

BK14 with custom kydex. It is a great knife, but quite frankly their sheaths suck.
