Carbon steel vs. stainless..... The BK16 will get the finer edge and hold it a little longer then then AUS8. Both steels touch up and sharpen easily. The BK16 can be modified with different handle scales and personalized a little easier then the SOG. Price they are about the same depending on where you look.
Can't hardly compare those 2 knives fairly. The Becker is better by a country mile. I personally wouldn't carry one of those as my everyday knife, but if I worked on a farm or something it might be different.
I have both. Both are good knives, but if I had to choose one, it would be the BK-16 (or BK-17 which is more similar to the Seal Pup Elite). As an EDC, it is borderline large for me unless your EDCing is out in the country.
