It was a bear, a great big mother of a bear......
Actually, if I attributed this knife to a land animal, it'd be something like a wolverine. Big, mean, indomitable, ornery sumbitch. In the fishy kingdom, it'd be a Goliath Tiger fish. Tear chunks outa 14' crocs. Yeah, baby.
Experts recommend not playing "Ive got your nose" with this particular creature.
Now that I have your attention......
----- INTERMISSION -----
Today was nicer outside then it's been for awhile, and I wanted to take the BK2 out, show it a good time....you know the drill.
Got myself a 30" 2x4
Batoning will be on today's menu...
As you could see the above 2 photos, there's a damn knot in the 2x4 that I hammered like crazy to try and get the Becker though. I tried real hard like.....
Well screw it, taking a different approach
First 1 side
Then the other side
By George I think we've got it...
Yep. Mission accomplished
Nice 'n smooth chop shop...
Lookit that thing. Knot fun at all.
nutha knot shot
Still curling well....I call em, fugly curls.
Little chopping action - BK2 is not ideal for chopping, as you know. But it certainly gets the job done.
Today is the letter K... C'mon, work with me.
slop chop
Split more shit
knot was no challenge this time 'round. BK2 laughed, resistance was surely futile.
BK2 made my baton wimper 'n whine
Batoning through another piece of the knot, it drove the 2 x 4 into the ground. I normally use a 2x6 laying there, but the hammering was hurting my hears. Wah.
Not so tuff without your friends......
Uhmm...... ode to gymnastics ??
.....
Oops. Guess I didn't screw the handle tight enough.
Ok, so beer goggles may be necessary...
Barktrails...
Edge tease....
Close up...Looks good to me!
Debris....
Battered and exhausted 2.5 and 3.5" batons
