So if I request a catalog from Kabar now, will it include the models for next year or only the current ones? I heard the october was the month that the new one was going to print, so I just wondered if id get a new one or an old one
 
Old one. New ones don't go out until after SHOT show in January. This year, I didn't get a new catalog until March.

course, you can always give KaBar a quick call every month until then and let us know.

now, they're shooting the new one in october, and perhaps stock piling them, that's no indication of publish date.

most companies (like apple) do not, and literally cannot pre-publish their upcoming products for various reasons ranging from legal to practical... the lawyers said no (and the SEC too) as well as (with apple), if you knew what was coming, you might not buy NOW, and that affects the income stream. so they don't do it.

waiting is hard ;)
