Kabar Coppersmith

I have a Coppersmith barlow -- don't recall seeing any reviews, but there were some photos here on the forum. I recall reading they're made by Queen -- correction, appears from below that it's CSC.

Very well made, great fit/finish. The copper is certainly different-looking, but works well with the brown bone scales. Blades came from the factory with an OK edge, no blade wobble, good pull/snap.

If I remember, I'll post up some pics tonight.

Kevin, I have the smaller Coppersmith lock back and I really like it. The D2 blade came very sharp and it has solid lock up and good fit and finish. The copper on mine is starting to patina nicely which adds a really cool touch.

I have a Coppersmith Barlow. All the newer Coppersmith stuff is made by Canal Street but I don't know exactly when that started. Mine is excellent and I would put it on par with GEC as far as fit and finish, walk and talk etc. Mine came sharper than most of my GEC's did and they are using 14-4CrMo steel blaes which I haven't sharpened mine yet but it should take one hell of a nice edge.

Here is a good thread to read. http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php/1145061-Ka-Bar-Coppersmith-Barlow

You guys are a bad influence on me, no more than a year ago I would have disregarded these knives and the patina on the copper. But now I have to admit I do love the look of these knives especially with the patina on the copper look, one day I will own one. Most likely a few.
