I just recently purchased a KaBar Dozier folding hunter spear-point. Is it just me or does anyone else think that this knife gives the Delica a serious run for it's money? The locking mechanism seems very solid, no blade play is noticed and the blade shaves hair. Granted the Delica has "better" steel, but it also costs more than 2X as much. I do like the Spderco opening hole better than the thumb stud and of course will have to order a Kabar Dozier clip-point with the hole for further comparison. I highly recommend this knife which is worth every bit of the $20 I paid for it.

If not for the hole, then yes, I'd say it is a serious competitor for half the price.
Those pics of the new Delica look awfully nice, too. If you like this Kabar Dozier, check out the $49 D2 ones at www.agrussell.com

oh yeah :)
Just saw the pics of the new Delica and Endura...lookin' good...yes they are...
I'll report back on the comparison between the Kabar clip-point hole and the Delica hole as I am about to order the former and own the latter.

The Byrd does look great for the price, but I just don't like stainless steel handles...too slick for me. I work outside...in south Georgia...and sweat...a lot...need something with a grip. So, guess my comparison was primarily with FRN versions of each.
