Anyone have any experience with the Kabar FIN? It looks like a nice knife, simple AUS8 steel and it has a framelock made of stainless steel. Its relativley inexpensive for 56 dollars. Thinking about getting one, I already have Benchmade grippies and spyderco's galore i figured I'd give this a try if anyone has any thoughts on it?

INCREDIBLY uncomfortable. And worse yet, the integral guard gets in the way of the thumb oval when opening and is quite painful. I wouldn't take one for free, but that's just me. Maybe some other folks here have had a more pleasant experience with it.
 
The only Ka-Bar worth owning is the USMC 1217. I've owned a few of the other ones, and honestly, they're junk.
 
That was my first impression too when I got it but after a while I'm getting use to it and now I like it a lot. It's not as smooth as a Spyderco but it's not that bad, when you get the hang of it, it becomes a pretty decent knife.

The Kabar Doziers in AUS8 for $20 are one of the best deals in world.

No exp on the FIN but I've heard the ergos stink from several people.
 
The Ka-Bar warthog folder (the only Ka-Bar folder i've had expierence with) is a waste of money, IMHO. Unless of course you don't mind a lot of blade play and poor ergonomics. Maybe the newer folders are better quality.
Pull the trigger and let us know what you think.
 
I bought a FIn and sent it back. The ergonomics are horrible: it actually hurts your hand to grip it tightly.

I wanted to love it----a framelock with a Spyder hole opener is my dream knife, but it is just the most uncomfortable knife I've ever held.

For a similar knife that's cheaper but better I suggest the Byrd Catbyrd.
 
The Kabar folders sucks! But the 1095 carbon steel fixed blades and the TDI models are great. IMO
