another interesting change, that i noticed right away... but have not mentioned until now...
the old skool Becker handles in the Esta-Loc material had a certain shape to them, esp with the palm swells.
the Camillus ones were different. a bit fatter feeling in particular, less palm swell, a bit more internal space. not so good for slimmer hands.
the handles on the Magnum Camp are new. they're slimmer than Camillus, and have different swells, etc.
indeed, the same seems to be true on my 2nd gen BK-02 Campanion and BK-03 Tac-Tul. the only reason i never noticed so much, is that i don't fiddle with my Camillus models so much anymore, either old skool Machax or Magnum camp, or the new KaBar Tac-Tul....
OR the Camillus Magnum Camp which does mostly kitchen duty right now, and when i held both, i noticed many things, esp the weight, and didn't fully appreciate the new handle-ness on the KaBar.
i'm assuming that KaBar ran out of or is reserving the old Camillus handles they got in auction for other things... and of course, they had to have their own handles made for the future. well, the future seems to be now?
