kabar has no excuse not to bring back the bk6

Ok people correct me if I'm wrong on any of this.

From the information I dug up, kabar said they were not going to make the bk6 because they were physically too long for their machines.

Well, after some deep investigating I found the bk6 measures in at about 19.5 inches.

The blackjack Reinhardt Becker kukri measures in at about 18.5.

So by using some really advanced logic one could assume that if the RBK is coming back the bk6 might come back as well.

But maybe not, maybe we are just out of luck because 18.5 is the limit on their machines…

I only just got my bk6 and already I love it. However, it's just one of those blades I'm not going to use to its full potential (same with my RBK), because I don't want anything to happen to it, because I know how hard it would be to get another.

So pretty please kabar bring the bk6 back!

I ain't falling for no banana in my tailpipe!

Me thinks it has more to with 'will' than a 'way'.

Well, you could speculate that since there are several "slow sellers" in the BK line being discontinued to "make room in the line", one of which could be considered similar to the BK6, that others besides the RBK could be coming in the future that could resemble the patrol machete.
Pure speculation. Not sure if they'd just start slingin out choppers but it seems to me that a light machete is about the only hole that hasn't been filled, with the exception of a soon to be opened " super slicy" spot.
Maybe some sort of recurve could come up? Dunno if that'd be a "hole".

I will do a machete comparison review as soon as I am don't with these choppers.
Depending on the rbk.
If that is released, I will be doing a khukuri comparison lol

I think the best reason not to bring back the BK-6 is that they're bringing back the RBK! (or so we believe).

well, a few dozen beckerheads will

half of those will flip it in a week

slow seller

This.
Even if every current Beckerhead bought 2, it likely wouldn't justify the cost of making it happen. Sure, there would be other sales...but would they be enough to make it fiscally worthwhile? If not, then KaBar has a very good reason for not bringing it back.

I'll just drop this in here........

(please note the factory grease on the edge :D)

We've seen that the Parangatang is the same size as the BK6 in terms of length, and it's American made. I take that as a sign that a BK6 is either in the works, or eventually will be.

Speculation leads to temperament. Temperament leads to rioting. I'm staying out of this one.

Don't hold your breath on the bk6, we haven't even seen the bk21 yet.....

for real!

did kabar confirm at blade show that the bk21 is still happening?

anyway back to the bk6 I don't know about it being a slow seller. I think it would sell better then a lot of other beckers in the line up. I like want ncslice said, it would add something missing from the line up.

personally I just want to see some more big blade beckers. SOON. :)

Well... I need a 4, 6, 15, and 21!
Maybe by the time I have the 4 and the 15, the 21 will be released...
And then I can start drooling over the 6.

Hmmm ... didn't one of our talented bladesmiths make a BK6 clone (or an unbent BK4) awhile back?

So ... with all the expressed desires, maybe an entrepreneurial bladesmith might find it profitable to run off a dozen BK6 clones ... with the right blessings, of course. ;)
