Anybody on instagram? I use #Beckerhead #Kabar and now #KabarKrew to post pictures of knives, sheaths and sometimes Purdy flowers on instagram.

Are there any others?

Believe it or not, even though I fit the age group of people most commonly associated with commenting on, and using Youtube, Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook, I feel instead that we should combine them and call it "YouTwitFace"...

All joking aside, I've never once "hashtagged" anything, nor do I have an account or anything like that. I've also never tried to look anything up on instagram, so I wouldn't know if anyone else is using any other hashtags of note. Maybe someone else that uses these things would have better info than I do?

ocn, I'm almost as bad as you. I have dabbled with FB, primarily because I've got friends and family that badgered me into it to "keep in touch".

When I see a "#", I automatically think either "number" or "pounds" as in #4 means "No. 4" and 4# means "4 pounds". Heck I'm so old school in some things that I still wish keyboards had the ¢ sign on them. Good thing I still remember the ascii codes for the symbols missing from keyboards now-a-days.

I'm 15, never had a facebook, had a twitter for about a month when I was convinced that to be a true WWE fan, you must "follow" your favorite wrestlers on twitter. :D Never had a "smartphone" either.

I've hear my cousins talk about Instagram if that counts. :D

I don't use it much. I think I've posted 3 or 4 pictures in about 3 years. But now I'll start searching for those tags.

Although I'm completely adverse to (anti) social media and have literally never used any of them (THIS is about as close to social media as I get) I think it's a good idea what you're doing 710 as for the people who do have it and are uninitiated with our favorite brand(s) it may prompt them to look further into it/them. I especially like the idea of #kabar. Perhaps you could even try #BK&T? Heck i bet there heaps of #'s you could associate with Kabar/Becker (#1095CV etc...)

Ya, I really didn't like using social media but when its free advertising and everybody is on it "except 3 maybe 4 people" cough cough... I mainly use social media as an art gallery of my work. I can't afford to purchase a spot in the Daly news paper every week on every newspaper or send out mass post cards to everybody in the world.
Funny when I see "#Becker" and click on the link only Becker beer pops up, I think its German beer.

Of course. I didn't even think of the free advertising for you as well. Haha! I'm an idiot <face palm>.. Honestly there are plenty of good things about those sites, what I have a problem with is when literally EVERYONE standing around you has their head buried in their phones being "social".

I am also abundantly aware of the absolute irony of me delivering my soap box rant via my phone.

But yeah, keep doing it 710. It will increase business for you and bring in new fans of Becker Knife and Tool and Kabar. Onya bud..

Springy..

710, I totally get using any of the above services from a business perspective, and it doesn't bother me at all that you use it as such.

I hear you there. The # sign to me is still the pound sign as well. And while I don't usually have to use ascii code for anything, I am all about keyboard shortcuts :).

But yeah, I graduated from grad school two years ago, work as an IT Professional, and live in the Silicon Valley area. Yet I don't do any social media. I'm sure marketers and advertisers have no idea what to do with me, since I don't fit my demographic at all :p.

What is kinda sad and scary at the same time is that during my first job while I was I college, I got to the point where I could read computer punch cards by just looking at the holes punched in the cards.
