Thank goodness for forums like this where knowledgeable people can be found to shed light on the history on these great vintage knives floating around out there. That being said, I've picked up one that stumped me for certain. Its a stacked leather handle Kabar (in italics) with no model number, so, as I understand that means it's post 1953 and pre 1966? It's a skinner type blade design like the Western model 39s. I wish I could post a photo but need to find out how.

First of all, I've got tattoos of both the symbols you have there.... So well done ;)

I like using postimage.org.

Some don't like it, because you are basically giving away the rights to the image, but it's pretty easy to use and I really don't care what they do with some rando pic of a knife.

Go there, select your image to upload, left click the "direct link" button (it will auto copy it).

Go to the little picture icon here on forum where you post, click it, select the link icon, paste in the URL you copied, and you're done.

Best of luck 🤞

Thank you for your recommendation

What is the length of the blade?

It looks like either a model 1233 or model 1237. The 1233 has a 4.3" blade, the 1237 has a 5.25" blade. These measurements can vary by fractions.
