Does Kabar still have any Japanese models being produced? I have the discontinued leather handled large Skinner and absolutely love it and the quality is better than my leather handle Hunter model. I know Kabar still produces some AUS8 stuff, but it appears its China or Taiwan.
 
We do not currently make any models in Japan and have not for a number of years. At this point the price to have a knife made in Japan is comparable to the price to have a knife made in the USA. We are currently running at about 80% USA-made and hope to keep that on the uptick.

The quality of KaBar's knives is what's imporant. Keep it up KaBar, and we'll keep buying your knives.
 
Thanks guys, received the 2015 catalogue and it answered my question. Also wanted to say thanks for the awesome price drops this year on some of my favorite models!
