Have one of each here, have not had a chance to do anything with them.
Good quality, large handles, grippy pebbled scales.
Potbelly has heft for chopping & a lot of belly for work on meat as long as it doesn't involve fine work. Too big for that.
Sheaths are well done, plastic blade liners for the big blade & the little Piggyback, plenty of room for matches, signal mirror, firesteel, GPS, etc. in the pouch.

They look functional, but their marketing leaves something to be desired. The Adventure Potbelly comes with "Adventuregrip" and "Adventurecord"? Sounds like an Adventure waiting to happen.

The "Potbelly" looked durable enough to me! Just purchased one from TomarsKabars. Can't wait to see how it will hang with the BK2 and ColdSteel Kukri.........

The sheath is a great idea...I've got an Eaglesheath with my D2 Extreme but just like several others, the extra pocket is too small for my liking.

Does the knife rattle around in the sheath like the BK-7?

Tacticool? Over-the-top? This is a company whose bread and butter products are combat knives, and which sells pistol bayonets

These are par for the course, but not my cup of tea.

KaBar made no bones about the fact that the 'pistol bayonet' is more or less a novelty item. It's functional as a knife, but it was basically something they did 'just because'.

Well, just gonna let you guys and gals know that the Potbelly by JAB is a hit with me!!!! Big thumbs up!! Has at least 3 different positions to hold the knife for different purposes. Done quite a bit of chopping and playing around and have yet to need to sharpen it. As far as chopping power, it falls somewhere between the Kukri (my personal favorite pack blade) and the BK2(my personal favorite EDC), of course. In my opinion it held a better edge than the BK2 when subjected to the same amount of use. I absolutely love all of the room on the sheath, can keep some necessary items in that large pouch with ease, which is well built also. Nicely balanced for smaller chores and the smaller blade takes care of the more finesse work. Don't actually care for the scales so much, got a bit slippery with me when my hands got wet. The texture on the handle did help out more than I thought but I'll eventually upgrade that like I did with the BK2, upgraded to the micarta. I did go ahead and wrap the little blade with some 550 cord......works like a charm!!

All-in-All, it's a great blade with some thought that obviously went into it and the system.

Keep up the great work JAB.........!!!!
