Has anyone put this knife through it paces? It seems like it's built like a tank.

I had one as part of a lot I bought. Nice ergos and looked good but the blade didn't hold an edge for crap. I unloaded it fairly quickly. I wasn't impressed.

For $17 get a Kabar Dozier instead.

The lock of my K2 wasn't worth its name. Maybe it did a lot of things but locking the blade didn't seem to be one of its duties...gave it to someone who wanted to test its edge retention.

I actually just hand delivered one of those to my friend yesterday. He has the tanto version with the squared off handle. It is built like a tank, absolutely no blade play, the liner lock surprised me. It engages very well and he's a happy camper with it.

If I wasn't such a knife knut, it would be one of those knives that I wouldn't mind having around for some medium cutting tasks. Given the blade steel though, it will probably dull faster than an AUS 4 CRKT.

He hasn't learned "the ways" yet, but I'm just happy that my friends are interested in knives :)

I'd say if you need a descent beater or fishing knife, it would be useful to have, especially for under $20.

I got one when they first came out. I swear it gets dull just sitting. Get a Byrd, its 10X the knife for a little more money (like 5 bucks).
