It's the one with Aus 8 steel. 3.6 in. blade. It seems to have a high grind on the blade. Will it get razor sharpe? I have no experience with Aus 8 and I was wondering if it's worth 26 bucks.
I don't own one, but if you would use Google advanced search on this site, you would find out people like the Kabar Doziers; one of the best bang for buck knives around.
This model is the Lockback to be more accurate. KaBar may call it a variation of the Folding Hunter. But it is in fact a production model of the titanium custom Lockback. There are actually 2 of these KaBar models. The first is a thumb stud model with an axe (flat) grind on a drop point blade. The second is an oval hole opener model with a nice hollow grind on what resembles a (long) clip point blade. I prefer the latter due to its thinner edge bevel and a more positive hole opener. Both of these variations have thick blade stock and quite stiff lockbars. The AUS steel is a good no frills super steel. And on the hollow grind hole opener you can get a very thin edge. I think you' ll find that the $26 is a good investment for a no nonsense user.
Anything made by Dozier is intended for hard use! Anything. Even if it is a locking blade, which I detest (I only prefer full tangs!), I would definitely raise an eyebrow if I knew it was a Dozier. That should say something at least. They are expensive but the value in not only the craftsmanship but overall savage rustic grade it is made for (like Tops Knives!) is well on the cutting edge (pun intended) of the happy knife maker's wildest dreams. Dozier knives (and Tops) are rugged and will out perform your expectations!!!
You might have to wait on a Dozier, but Tops will be always be there. As far as the sharpening for a Dozier, just follow his suggestions. Personally, all I do (most of them are D2!!! yay) is use a hard diamond hone for finishing touches (unless of course you use it like a hardcore tool which is rare!) and than finish up on a tough leather strop. That is it, unless you are sharpening a scalpel, and you can designate knives for that with care of course.

Yes, I have a KaBar Large Dozier, 3.6" blade in AUS8.
Yes it gets razor sharp. AUS8 is famous for that.
Yes it has a high grind. This offsets the thickness of the blade and makes for a pretty good slicer yet a really robust blade.
IMO it is worth more than $26.
