Here is a quick rundown of the new products from KABAR this year:

Bob Dozier collaboration, the Thorn, which is already released (see my other post about it here)

High tech liner locks - 9 in total. KABAR is marketing these liner locks for Maserin Knives of Italy. All have aluminum scales, SS liners, and 440A blades. The knives will be marked "KABAR/Maserin".

A large camp knife (8" blade) added to the Black line - 1095 carbon blades, black epoxy coating, Kraton handle, double guard and steel butt cap.

Warthog folder - Made in Japan by G. Sakai: AUS-8 blade, Zytel scales, w/ pocket clip.

3 new Precision Hunters - a large game hook, traditional clip point blade, and a stiffer version of KABAR model #1445 long point. 440A SS blades, Kraton handles.

Combat blade version of the D2 Impact Series knives. D2 blade, micarta handles, Eagle sheath, and black epoxy coat.

More new low-end, China made knives marketed under the KABAR International banner.
Edit **The bit of info that appeared here about products to come in late 2002 was not supposed to be released to the public. It was my fault for not asking Paul Tsujimoto of KABAR what could and could not be released; I have been notified by email by Mr. Tsujimoto of this just now. I apologize to Mr. Tsujimoto and Mr. Hillegas for this error. It was not my intention to do any harm to KABAR at all, and will continue to support this fine company in the future in any way I can.**
I have a copy of their 2002 catalog en route to me, will scan and post pics to accompany descriptions after I get it.
