Kabar restoration.

This Kabar knife belonged to my grandfather. It hasn't been used in years, but it looks like someone put it on a grinder. It has many scratches but they are not deep.

I plan on cleaning it up a bit and see how good I can get it to look. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

The blade is pretty worn. About all you can do is attempt to sand the marks out.
If it were mine, I would just leave it alone. This coming from someone who is recommended by Kabar for repairs.
