1) Regarding the factory sheath, I took a part of it off (the part that forms the belt loop) to reduce bulkiness, and threw it away. Can the clip be attached to the sheath without the part that I chucked?

2) Given that the factory sheath has not won any quality awards by any means, who nowadays makes a Kydex one with a clip? Would I have to send my knife in to have it fitted, or, are KaBars pretty close to one another in dimensions?
