Hi guys and gals,

Just looking for some basic info on this one... Years made/steel/model #/comparison to other models/Etc

MARKINGS: KABAR USA on one side, and the other side is unmarked. No model number on it that some folks referenced in other threads.

Sorry for all of the Frog Lube paste in the pics.

I did a little searching, couldn't find a lot of info on this particular style with this grip configuration. I did find several threads about the Warthogs but none of the pics matched up...

Thanks for any info...Looks like a good Jeep knife to me! :D

That's from the Impact line, the "Impact Warthog". I don't think they were made for very long. Don't know anything else.

Here's a couple more common warthogs along with my BK2. BK2, Heavy Warthog, and the original 1247 warthog (the one that started it all).

What you have there is something I've been wanting for a while :D lol

Any openness to trades or whatnot?

The 1247 is one of the few "collection" knives I have that I won't get rid of and don't really use (except maybe to open packagesfrom the brown santa). It's got some love on it as you can see but I've had that knife for about 15 years now, since I was 15 years old. If they were still in production I'd do the same thing I did to my F/U, cut the top of the guard off and strip the coating. The F/U line make pretty good outdoor knives once that part is gone.

I know hosts, its me, Steve, I have one too xP

I like the guard the way it is on the 1247 and only the1247. The wide blade makes it a non-issue

I was after our friends impact, if he just wants it for a jeep knife I was hoping he'd trade so i can quit watching eBay, let a few of em slip and they carrya surprisingly low price, I just never have the $$$

I don't even know all what knives I own, I can't keep track of anybody elses'.

True, I found one last week Behind my entertainment center that would be perfect for what I was looking for to stuff in the Bk9 sheath, hadn't seen it in a couple years, forgot I had it..

Thanks for the info everyone.

As for trades, you can PM or email me but I hadn't really considered it... I like this one a lot, I can't believe I forgot about it.
