Hi,

wonder is there any practitioners of KDM in Philippines. It's introduced in US by GM Max Samriento .KDM is close quarter style famous for it's knife fighting and empty hand aspects and it's said to have similarities between
Silat(kuntao) and winchun. It's a part of Bahala Na eskrima and Inayan Eskrima.Looking for more information on this art ,it's orgins, techniques etc.

Thanks

Kadena de Mano uses the same principle of "sticky hands" in Wushu. By keeping your hands unarmed or armed with a knife very close to the BG hands ( both unarmed and with a knife) you anticipate their moves and you use defensive or offensive moves, blocks and strikes.
I found the "parent" organisation that is very active in the USA

http://www.inayanmartialarts.com/locations.htm

You will see that the European Instructors of Kalisikaran i trained with (Jeff Espinous and Johan Skalberg) are also Instructors in the parent organisation.

Johan Skalberg is the real deal, he used to be an active member of the Swedish elite "Attackdykarna", the Swedish navy attack divers.
The Inayan style is a no BS style of Escrima

I'd say that the majority of FMA chools/styles have some form of close-in tactics, but the thing is that they differ in name, root influences and so on... For example, I am currently training in Tres Flores eskrima, under Punong Guro Daniel Lamac, and his interpretation of the ebove mentioned distance is called El Mirador, and seems to have been greatly influnced by silat.

AMA Guro Billy Bryant inherited the other version of Cadena de Mano. Last I heard he is in the Bronx in NY. He is an amazing individual, although he has been hard to find. He has the highest skill and is a great teacher. You can also find two videos of his which cover Cadena de Mano and Kuntao Silat. They can be found on eBay or directly from Black and Blue Productions.

Lastly check with Dr. Jerome Barber or Amante Marinas http://www.escrimaconcepts.com/profiles.php?id=16.
