Kagas Katne

Hi.
I received my Kagas Katne yesterday in the mail, thanks Uncle Bill. What a great little knife. Only problem with it is that it was immediately confiscated by the household Customs officer for her own private collection. She did allow me to take some pics though.(sorry about the quality, was running out of daylight, had to tweak them a bit).

Sounds like what happened to my 15" Sirupati. It went to the kitchen the day after I got it. It stayed ther till I gave her a modified Bread knife that I had been working on for a couple of weeks. That was off and on. She likes the bread knife because of the light weight. My KK hangs around my neck all the time. A gift from Sarge. Some times I even sleep with the thing.

I've never seen a KK with a metal handle !

Nice.

I think I'd prefer handling the horn handles

but, for an alternative, the metal looks cool.

Hmm...the kami whose turn it is making these things must have a pension for aluminum. The one I got in the mail yesterday, looks exactly the same as the one you got. Wait a minute...it was here a second ago

KK's are great little knives. The one Uncle gave me a while back looks for all the world like a mini Sirupati. It served with distinction in Afghanistan, and continues to earn it's keep daily. Still, I have to admit that aluminum handle is pretty cool looking. Might have to order one (or a few, Christmas is coming up fast).

I think the kamis decided to send me some aluminum handles simply because they know that I hate aluminum handles. I certainly didn't order them.

Uncle Bill the kamis must have instinctively known that since I was waiting for a kk, that I would like an aluminum handle, so its not that they sent them to spite you, its because they knew one would go to me
