Anybody own or evr own one? I am thinking of getting one( i already have the pm9 and love it!) but read about the really sharp recoil in the .40sw. Is it manageable? Any coments please!

It is not a beginners pistol and takes more time and effort for the average/casual shooter. If you have sweaty hands, you'll need to add some sort of grip aid.

The Mitch Rosen clip holster is a great addition.

I looked at & fired a P40 before getting my P9. Even in the larger size I was not happy with the recoil. It is very sharp and made the pistol not one I thought I would practice with. I am very happy with the P9. I really suggest firing one first as these small pistols really deserve to be practiced with- they are much more accurate than I would have expected.

I have a PM9 and have cogitated on getting a PM40, but I figure that any theoretical increase in the so-called "stopping power" of the .40 is more than outweighed by its snappiness. Thats gotta be a way snappy pistol. If I were to get a .40 Kahr in this size, I'd pick the heavier MK40.

Kahr PM9.

I'd go with the MK40 if I were you. two of my friends bought 40 cal Kahrs. One got the PM and the other the MK. We all shot both and there was a big difference in recoil due to frame mass. The MK is a handful. The PM will try and jump out of your hand. Follows ups are not quick with the PM. I owned a PM9 for a while but then stepped up to the MK9. I love that little gun. It goes everywhere with me. And with the polite recoil of 9mm, it's a fast shooter.

a bud has a P40 covert, while it recoils more than the 9MM its not that bad, it does try to move around a lot when ya fire it a bit more than 9MM, i have found it to be pretty much the same as a P9/PM9 but my bud can shoot my P9 or PM9 better than he shoots the P40 covert, but he doesnt shoot a lot either,
