This was recorded Saturday night during Blade Show 2013, and we had a great time hanging out with the people of Kai USA. There was more great conversation before and after the video, but this is still a great discussion to hear.

It's a long video, so be prepared for that. Also, it's much better an experience in HD, so try to watch it in at least 720, as the audio will be better as well.

That is awesome man, thanks so much for the vid. Its like watching your favorite professor talk in class, seriously. Awesome stuff!

Mario, thanks very much with meeting with a few members of the Kai team and their designers. The video came out really well and it looked like a very fun lighthearted gathering.

I love how a group of people can sit around a table with a dozen or so knives out and its nothing out of the ordinary :D great video its cool to hear some of the stories from behind the scenes

Mario, thanks for posting this. I'm not sure if you all know this, but truthfully, none of us like being on video. We do it because our customers really enjoy seeing videos of the product, but we don't necessarily look forward to it. This video was a rare exception where we had enough fun that we almost forgot the camera was rolling. We are really lucky to have a great group of people that enjoy working together, and it has a huge positive impact on the knives we produce.

This video shows some unique insights into the process and the people involved. Although, poor Rick Hinderer got teased an awful lot in this case! It's always the people you like that you harass the most. :)

Awesome video man!
Jim it was a pleasure to hangout with you at Blade! Thanks for all the insight.
Thomas, you the mannnnn!

The video was fun to watch. A big "thank you" to everyone involved in getting that done. It looks like there's some good camaraderie between the KAI team and the designers. The stories were also fun... like Rick hanging up on Jim to take care of a muskrat... and the influence of pinball machines on Kershaw product names. :) Anyways, great work, and thanks again for putting this together.

This video is truly priceless. Invaluable to those who follow and love this hobby. The passion was easily seen.

Thanks Team KAI, Mario and Manny ( and all who were involved)!

It was hilarious hearing Tom talk about Tim Galyean. LOL
I wish he'd return to the forum.

Great vid! I really enjoyed it. Fun to hear knife designers/company talk about their knives, which is something that I enjoy listening to. Thanks for the vid!

Great vid. Watched it straight through, couldn't stop. Thanks putting this up Mario.

I'm very glad you guys are enjoying this. I think it's an important look into a big part of the industry. Adding some human spirit behind the knives is something I'm really happy to have been able to do.

Such a cool video. Met Rick and his guys at the show. Blade was so much fun (1st timer). Was just shocked at how down to earth most people were.

We have a pretty good industry. Most people are pretty down to earth. Lately I have been more surprised on the rare occasions when I meet people who are NOT down to earth in our industry.
