After a long wait finally in my posession (well, I have it for about two months now, just wasn't online for a while). It was a bit of a grail knife for me, now I need a new grail!

Made by swedish knifemaker Kaj Embretsen. He forged the damascus himself, handle material is mammoth ivory.

Kind regards,

Jos, congrats on this one. I was wondering when you would show it to the rest of the world. Any more info available and maybe a photo of the filework?

Stunning. I would consider it a "grail" too!

Congratulations and thanks for posting it.

I would like to see a picture of the filework also:D

Very very nice exacting work! Thanks for sharing and congrats to you and Mr. Embretsen. (Folks in Traditional's might like to see it also) I like how the scales are fitted to the bolsters.

I also would love to see a few more pictures if you get a chance sometime in the future.

That's a beautiful bartender's knife.
He's another maker who always has exceptional ivory.
Making the hand-filed damascus corkscrew is an accomplishment in itself.

Beautiful knife. I love Mr. Embretson's work. You feel the care he takes for each knife by observing the fit and finish. I was originally attracted to his work because of the great multi-colored blades and the sleek shapes of his folders. I believe he stopped making them because the chemicals were bad for his dogs. I have the last knife he made with a multi-colored blade.
