You never told me you were a star! I went over to my neighborhood Japanese bookstore and finally bought a copy of the now much acclaimed Kakuto Knife. The ESM-1/Rhino shot is awesome. Your knives are also excellently represented on these pages. Ichi and Tomo know their craft. This is one

book!

What's wrong with the stateside industry? Our publications look so weak compared to the Japanese stuff. The Japanese magazine KNIFE makes Tac Knives look like some podunk newsletter.

Oh well.

I have yet to see the Kakuto book, but at the Blade show there was a gentleman from a European knife magazine, I believe it was Hungarian. Talk about awesome. Heavy, glossy stock. Beautiful pictures. It was on par with "Ocean Realm" or an art magazine.

I wish someone in the US would bring out a comparable knife magazine.

I really like Kakuto knife. The pictures are well done showing all the defensive applications that a commander can do.

John when I was in Germany about 4 years ago they have two magazines that use high gloss pictures. One is MESSER and COUTOU(spelling?). Messer is german for knife and
Coutou is french for knife. They were both very nice. Pictures were great. And they usually covered US knife makers too. I just wish the magazines that we get here were of this quality.

Thanks for your kind words. We had alot of fun. Believe it or not , it was shot in a couple of hours and the location was a prominent PD's after hours "PUB". I swear it ! Asecond one is due to start shooting in Aug./Sept. Don't know what's in store yet.
Yes, Ichi and Tomo are "Masters of their Craft".
