Have had my Kali a few weeks now and getting great results. In an effort to try to be more accurate
with my handheld bevels, I fashioned this little guide. And it really works pretty well.

To use it I just lay the blade against the cardboard, then holding that angle lift it to the belt. After a few pass's I can flip the blade for the other side, recheck my angle and keep going. Actually works quit well.

Cool concept!

Personally, I just eye the distance between the spine and belt, it's a LOT more intuitive than you might think. Convex edges are quite forgiving of minor variations in angle from pass to pass. :)
