Kalgard refinishing options?

Since the shop no longer uses Kalgard for refinishing a One-Piece knife, is there another source or option for refinishing a buttcap to perfectly match the rest of the knife? Has anyone had success in touching up very small areas of coating loss on the knurling with another type of paint of the same color?

That's disappointing, I didn't know they stopped using Kalgard. What are they using lately and when/why did the switch up occur? And why couldn't they refinish the buttcap in whatever the new coating they are using is?

They are back to using KG Gun Kote in black or green. They can refinish the buttcap, but it won't match the knife. They can also refinish the entire knife and buttcap, but again, it will not be the original color and would probably decrease the knife's value.

What color did it used to be before? Was it considered grey?
