I have a Buck Kalinga with three splits in the leather sheath where the knife has gone through the sheath and into my leg. The snap has also come apart. Does Buck have a better sheath or should I continue to look for an aftermarket one? This is my camp knife and does get used. I carry it in my pack now .

Sorry for the delay in responding. I am sorry to hear that you are having trouble with the sheath. I have not heard of the Kalinga having sheath problems before.
I don't know if this would appeal to you or not but you can send me the old sheath and i will find a replacement for it.

Jack.... what kind of knife is Kalinga? I'm intrigued by the name, reminds me of a wonderful mountain province. Could you post a picture please?
