I recently purchased a KALINGA knife at an auction and I am trying to find out its value. It came in a wooden box with a sheath,it has a maroon wood handle can someone help me out here I couldn't find any thing on the BUCK KNIFE web site and I found this site. Thanks Chris

there not worth much i will give you 20 bucks to take it off of your hands. :)
seriously i don't know the true value but here in my neck of the woods it seems that everyone wants one.

The Kalinga was Al Buck's favorite knife. He even named his boat the Kalinga. You say yours has a maroon wood handle so it is a more current version. I watch Ebay and those knives, in new unused condition, tend to sell in the $150 range. Sometimes more, sometimes less, but that is a good average.
I hope this helps,
