Does any one among you knows the original bladed weapon of the Isneg or Kalingas in the MOuntain Province (Philippines).
This weapon called "Al-liwa" around six inches wide blade with a cylindrical handle of 20 to 24 inches long. This has a hook also on top. This is famous and being used by the warrior of the Kalingas or isneg. When I was a little boy going with my grand parents to sell merchandise in the mountain province "Kalinga Apayao" I met several of the natives and have good story of this weapon. It has semblance to the Tomahawk and Vikings weapon.
This are rare weapon now but can still be found in those areas.
