Hi guys,

I just recieved a 15in Sirupati from Bill. After looking through the FAQ I wasn't quite sure which kami made this little beauty.

If the pic works, you can see the mark. Not sure if this a cresent moon, a half sun or something else????

I was also suprised at the bolster & how the brass extends along the blade.

I tried this knife out over the weekend & found that this was quite a bonus as it allowed a more forward grip than I am used to with a khukuri, and made for better control when doing fine work.

This is a beautiful 'little' blade. Another winner, thanks Bill.

Thanks Bill. After doing a search it looks like the extended bolster is also part of his style.

A really well executed bolster and Sword of Shiva from the pic!!!

Out of the 30 some odd H.I.Khukuri's I have only 2 have the habaki style bolster.
My BGRS and my Kothimoda.
It's one of the best improvements that H.I. has incorporated!!!

And I "think" only 2 or 3 have the scrolled butt cap.
I have to agree with Uncle Bill about the scrolled butt cap.
It's a royal pain in the palm of the hand!!
And with hardly any recourse of rounding it off like the flat ones can be.
The quality of the H.I.Khukuri's are second to none!!!
But I don't have to tell y'all that now do I?
