Well, finally I got my pix and info together and this is the result

As for the rest, most likely I still made mistakes. Any help is more than appreciated. Considering that Devanagari isn't my native I had hard time decyphering the letters, and still not sure about many...

As you can see there's two section in cheat sheet for now. Kami's logos and Bir Gorkha logos by various kamis. Except on those logos I am not so sur eI got it right what's what :) Some logos that I was told are bir gorkha in different times do look very different. So, f there's a mistake mea culpa, and lemme know, i'll fix it asap.

You're very welcome, though I think most would agree that the small amount information we gave you pretty lopsided to the amount of time and work you put into cataloging and photographing such wonderful pictures...not to mention the knives themselves :eek: I hope you can sleep at night knowing that you are the sole enabler that has awoken a deep lust in my heart for a Kumar AK bowie;)

My 20" siru is a "!" marked. Would you like a pic?

Also, if you'd like a shot of the script on a Salyan, let me know. I'd be more than happy to provide both.
 
I have a Siru that has a pentagram and a sun. Seems to be a combined symbol of two different Kamis. Any idea who made it?
 
My wife mentioned that for the Bir Gorkha logos, the first two are indeed BG, but the third is standard HI, same as the Durba and Sher examples in the first section. The difference in the first character of the BG examples (loop changing sides) is that the first one is a "be" sound, and the second one is a "bee" sound. "bewitched" versus "beehive".

mPisi - Thanks for the info, what abotu the third one? It looks completely different.

BTW, Yangdu looked and she thinks all is ok so far :)

It's probably a six pointed star like the Star of David and if so it is Kumar's mark.
The seemingly sun mark which we in the states liken to the sun on the New Mexico flag is on all of the later model HI Khukuri's.

Sorry, it is a six pointed star and a circle with 4 sets of 2 lines which looks like a sun.
 
Satori Thanks! I've update the cheat sheet. Although for the Kami name I put Exclamation. Since we have no name...
