Is there anyway someone can post pictures of the signatures of the current Kamis who make khukuris at the BirGorka plant and plant #2?

Since I have a case of HIKV I will be wanting this for future references.

Good idea! A list of pictures with names would be a good thing to have! Maybe with the Kami's strong and weak points to reference! Any takers?

It's a long story, Rusty, but here's a couple of examples. Kamis often have more than one wife. Bura has three but is living at BirGorkha with no. 3 and children so is isolated from 1 and 2. Kumar had two wives and he was in his early 20's. Many wives make many problems. And, the kamis are inclined to borrow heavily against earnings and then disappear in the night. It is just their way.

Bill and Rusty,

This is just another example of "single point" thinking. While I am very happy with the work the kamis have done, I have always tended to think of them as focused and centered around BirGorkha. Of course they have lives and problems of their own, with
the making of Khukuris just one aspect!

Making knives is a job, even with all the traditions surrounding it. And any man with more than one wife must have more than his share of problems. Thanks for the insight, Bill.
