The January giveaway was a dagger and G-10 tanto that I won. Instead of writing a review on the products, I have decided to make the pieces available for viewing (not handling) at the Kansas City Gun & Knife show being held Feb 25-27 in Kansas City. Forumites will be able to view the pieces on display at the Straight River Knife table. George Harrison is a dealer and fellow forumite has agreed to give up a portion of his table space so that traveling forumites attending the show can see the pieces crafted by Alan Folts. Again, thanks to George Harrison at Straight River Knives for his assistance. I'll try to make the pieces available Friday through Sunday. Definitely Saturday.--Dan

Well I went to the show and saw the Alan Folts dagger. Very nice but George would not let me touch it. Sorry no pictures. I actually met BFC members there. I thought that was cool but my wife thinks I'm stranger than ever. I had saved a little aside for a Lynn Griffith fixed blade but when I got to the show I ended up with a Microtech Kestrel-A. My first Microtech and my first auto. I'm hooked.
I saw someone trying to sell cheap butterfly as a BM. They had it sitting on a BM box like thats what it was. Saw someone selling BM factory seconds real cheap - could have bought a 720 with poorly anodized handles for 90.00. Played with a Kershaw Ken Onion - Wow- I liked it alot. I'll be having one of these shortly. Also like the BM 720 (I think I have the model number right - aluminum handles/axis lock) will be needing one of these too! Rock solid.
Tip of the day - know your list prices before you go to one of these events. Deals are there to be made but be careful or you could pay over list and with the BM 2000 cataloge in my truck I saw that some dealers are not all that truthful about what the factory list price is.

Yeah, I know their a few crooked dealers at the K.C. show, but it is fun to see those prices!!!
