Hi all

Gogv(goh-gun) the Cherokee word for crow, this is a badass karambit I have just finished, Damascus blade, nebula Damascus bolster with birds eye maple wood scales and colored titanium liners

Thanks for looking

The knife:
It's CRAZY wicked. I love how you used a combination of polish, partial etch, and steel to show off the damascus. The liners are such an eye-grabber. The handle and bolster materials are nicely complimentary. Good work!

I don't know much about karambits, but this looks very ergonomically shaped. Melts in your hand. And even a bit of a 'skull-crusher' on the butt end. YIKES!

The photo:
You sure aren't afraid to take risks. I love the visual angles and, in this case, how you allowed the knife to be seen through the ring. Very captivating. Rich shadows (constructed?) and good complimentary background. There's a LOT of time in that image and it paid off. Props.

Good thread.

Thanks Coop, I love the fact that you picked up on all the details of the knife.

For my compositions I usually deep etch all the angles and construct the shadows and background, I also try and incorporate the theme in the background as in this image I added a wing watermark that I masked in certain areas as not to be too distracting from the knife.

Thank you for taking the time to look.
