I am looking at getting a Karambit. What is everyones thoughts on the Emerson Folders? Right now I am leaning toward a fixed blade Karambit.

Karambit Fixed Blade or Folder

I've only handled the Emerson folding karambit in the store. It seemed pretty solid. It seemed a bit odd, IMO, that the ring is split instead of solid.
For the kind of "work" that a karambit is designed for, I'd lean towards a fixed blade vs. folder. I also prefer a solid ring for the index finger.

I would like to stay under $200.00 but I could see myself dropping $250
I like the Deraspinas but they seem to be hard to find.
The Busse looks like it has a bigger bend in its shape compared to the Deraspinas and Emersons.

i have the emerson folder karambit. they have three models. the regular folder and a larger version of that. then they make a fixed blade version. i love mind its very comfortable to weild and the wave feature essentially makes it a fixed blade that fits in your pocket. it can be mounted almost anywhere allowing for the wave draw to function
